Overview
Jackson Michener Psychotherapy is committed to protecting the privacy of all clients and prospective clients. This policy describes how information collected through this website is handled. It does not govern the handling of clinical records, which is addressed separately through your informed consent documentation and applicable state and federal law, including HIPAA.
Information Collected Through This Website
This website collects only the information you voluntarily provide through the contact form, including your name, email address, the service you are inquiring about, and any message content you choose to submit. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not sold, shared, or distributed to third parties.
This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics services.
Third-Party Form Processing
Contact form submissions are processed through Formspree, a third-party form handling service, and forwarded to jackson@jacksonmichener.com. Formspree stores submitted data on its servers in accordance with its own privacy policy. By submitting the contact form, you acknowledge that your message will pass through Formspree's systems. No sensitive clinical information should be submitted through this form.
Scheduling Through Mindful Therapy Group
Therapy sessions may be scheduled through Mindful Therapy Group's online scheduling system. That process is governed by Mindful Therapy Group's own privacy policy and intake procedures. Jackson Michener Psychotherapy is not responsible for data collected through third-party scheduling platforms.
Clinical Records and HIPAA
Once a therapeutic relationship begins, your clinical records are governed by HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and Washington State law. Your rights regarding those records — including access, amendment, and accounting of disclosures — will be explained in full in your intake documentation and informed consent forms.
Communications submitted through this website's contact form are not encrypted in transit and should not be used to share sensitive clinical information. If you have an urgent concern, please contact your provider directly or call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or 911 in an emergency.
Email Communication
When you submit the contact form, your message is delivered to Jackson Michener directly at jackson@jacksonmichener.com. Standard email is not a fully secure form of communication. Please keep initial contact messages general in nature — more sensitive details can be shared once a secure communication channel has been established.
Minors
This website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and no information is knowingly collected from minors through this site. Clinical services for minors are conducted through direct intake processes with appropriate guardian consent documentation.
Third-Party Services
This website uses Google Fonts for typography, which may result in a request to Google's servers when the page loads. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google through this process. The site also links to Psychology Today and Mindful Therapy Group for scheduling and directory purposes. Those platforms operate under their own privacy policies.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated periodically. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
